What We Believe
There is one God who is three persons.
God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit each who possesses equally all the attributes of Deity. (1 John 5:7)
God, our loving Father, is the almighty creator and sustainer of the heavens and earth. In fact, He is the creator of everything, and we’re made in His image, which means we’re like Him in many ways. He’s loving, just and desires a personal relationship with us. We believe that the connection to God is the most important connection in life. God wants to connect with you, and somewhere deep inside, you want to connect with Him, even if you don't realize it yet.
Jesus Christ, God's Son, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered for the sins of all mankind under Pontius Pilate, he was crucified, buried, descended into hell and arose on the third day. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. He is coming again to judge the living and the dead and He will set up His kingdom and reign forever over the earth and heavens. We believe that "Jesus is the only way, truth and the life and no man will come unto the Father (God) but by Jesus alone." (John 14:6)
We're all born sinners, and we all make choices in life that separate us from God. Because we have free will, we can reject this relationship and live outside of God's plan for our lives. But God loves us so much, that he sent His only Son, Jesus, to die so we could live. The cost of sin is separation from God, spiritual death, but Jesus came, and his death paid everyone’s debt. Because of His perfect love, this gift from God is waiting for anyone who wants to receive it. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." This is called Grace, and God gives it freely and abundantly to anyone who believes. (John 3:16 and Romans 10:9)
The Holy Spirit is sent by God, to be in the hearts of every believer with grace and power to change our lives, make us more like Jesus, convict us of sins, teaching and leading into all truth, renewing the mind, providing comfort in times of distress, and unifying believers in a bond of love.
The Holy Spirit is Gods way of communicating with His people through the written word of God and inner communication of the heart. He draws sinners to Christ, imparts new life to believers, continually indwells believers from the moment of spiritual birth, and seals believers until the day of redemption. "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my (Jesus) name, he shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I (Jesus) have said unto you." We are a body of believers who have been called to operate in the gifts of the Spirit, in the fivefold ministry of the Spirit, and in the anointing of the Holy Spirit. (John 14:26 and Galatians 5:22-23)
The Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit given to holy men of God and as such is given and received for doctrine, reproof, and instruction in the Christian faith.
It is timeless and without error and is relevant for all life circumstances. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." We use the King James Bible as our main text for preaching and teaching, because we believe that the Authorized Version is closer to the Hebrew tradition than any previous and current English translation. (2 Timothy 3:16)
We are but one part of the glorious body of Jesus Christ that is called to be in unity.
We are one body who are partakers of the divine nature, and our primary mission is to go forth and proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, bring truth to those who are held captive in the kingdom of darkness, and to make ready His bride for Jesus' second coming.
Satan is alive today, just not as powerful as he's made out to be and definitely nowhere near omnipotent. He is rendered powerless by the death of Jesus Christ.
"Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he (Jesus) might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil." He has limited abilities and is totally under the control of His owner and creature, God. Lasting freedom doesn't come from fighting a defeated devil, but by turning to the Lord of truth who has already defeated him (Satan). (Hebrews 2:14)
